Decatur’s Thomas O. Davis Award honors a public employee who has helped strengthen the bond between government and the community, served as a role model for others in public service, contributed to the well-being of the community, inspired others to get involved in public service, and served the public with respect. Lee Williams Recognized with Thomas O. Davis Award
Lee Williams, facility manager for Decatur Active Living, was presented the Thomas O. Davis Award at the June Decatur Business Association meeting. Lee has worked for the city since 2000 and always goes above and beyond to serve the community. He has taught many children how to ride bikes safely, managed sports camps and adult programming, and has been an active participant in the Safe Routes to School program. Lee also serves as a great mentor to teens and young men in the community.
