Notice of General Election Nov. 6, 2007
Decatur City Commission and Decatur Board of Education

The City of Decatur Commissioners officially announce the Call of the City’s General Election to be held in the City of Decatur, Georgia, on Nov. 6, 2007, for two Decatur Board of Education members for four-year terms of office, and three City of Decatur Commissioners for four-year terms, such terms to begin at the organizational meeting in January 2008.

• One City Commissioner from Election District 1, Post B 
• One City Commissioner from Election District 2, Post B
• One City Commissioner at large

• One Decatur Board of Education member from Election District 1, Post B
• One Decatur Board of Education member from Election District 2, Post B

DeKalb County will conduct the Nov. 6 election at the following precincts:

District 1:
Clairemont East: First Baptist Church of Decatur, 308 Clairemont Ave.
Clairemont West: Lutheran Church of the Messiah, 465 Clairemont Ave.
Glenwood: Holy Trinity Parish, 515 E. Ponce de Leon Ave.
Ponce de Leon (1 & 2): First Christian Church of Decatur, 601 W. Ponce de Leon Ave.

District 2:
Oakhurst: Oakhurst Baptist Church, 222 E. Lake Dr.
Renfroe: Renfroe Middle School, 220 W. College Ave.
Winnona Park: Winnona Park Elementary School, 510 Avery St.

Registration for voting in the Nov. 6 election will close Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007.

Advance voting is Oct. 29-Nov. 2, 2007, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., at the DeKalb County voter registration office, 4380 Memorial Drive, Decatur, Georgia.

Absentee voting will be done at the DeKalb County voter registration office, 1300 Commerce Dr., Room 101, Decatur, Georgia, Monday-Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Questions concerning absentee voting, early voting or voter registration should be directed to DeKalb County Elections Division, 404-298-4020.
