Decatur Kids Sing Folk Songs'Decatur Kids Sing' CD Now Available for Purchase

Great Sing-along Family Music Benefits After-School Programs

Eddie's Attic was rockin' to the songs of Decatur's after-school children as they performed tunes from the first Decatur Kids Sing CD release party. The children participating in this music activity attend City of Decatur schools and range in age from kindergarten to middle school.

The CD includes sing-along family music with familiar tunes and whimsical, kid-created lyrics like "I Love Chicken Wings" and "Ain't No Bugs on Me."

Eric Litwin, an award-winning Atlanta musician and music producer, taught students in each of the Decatur after-school programs about imagery, meter and rhyme, as well as tone, tempo and timing, and how to write their own lyrics.
The CD was recorded live at Eddie's Attic by Shalom Aberle. Eric sang with the children and played guitar, banjo and mandolin, accompanied by Michael Levine on bass and guitar. Lampe-Farley Communications provided the bright, kid-friendly CD cover and label.

Decatur Kids Sing Folk Songs with Mr. Eric can be purchased at The Seventeen Steps, Decatur CD, Intown Ace Hardware, Roly Poly, Little Shop of Stories and MoJo Pizza. Or you can order the CD by calling Decatur Rec, 404-377-0494. Your purchase benefits Decatur after-school programs.
