City of Decatur Annual Report 2015 This annual report provides an overview of the city’s accomplishments over the past twelve months. It features six main areas: engagement, innovation, performance, arts, governance and sustainability.
The 2014 City of Decatur Annual Report highlights achievements in governance, quality of life, characteristics, innovation, participation and performance. Each section is introduced by one of the city commissioners or city manager and includes data from the 2014 National Citizens Survey.
Decatur has a history of pushing forward and meeting new challenges. The fact that others are remarking on our efforts and our success is just one measurement that we are moving towards the vision set by our citizens and achieving the goals set out in the Strategic Plan.
The annual report updates the community on the ongoing implementation of the 2010 Strategic Plan. It mirrors four principles outlined in the plan plus an additional principle that captures the internal work of the city government.
City of Decatur Annual Report 2010 In this Annual Report we take a look at how far we have come since the last strategic planning process, which began in 1998 with the Round Tables and resulted in the 2000 Strategic Plan. As we plan for the next 10 years, here is a snapshot view of where we have been and the roadmap we used to get here.
City of Decatur Annual Report 2009 This Annual Report focuses on Decatur’s ongoing strategic response to the current economic climate and the fiscal challenges across all economic sectors, as discussed in the narrative section of the City’s budget for fiscal year 2009-2010. Our theme is based on the generally accepted framework for addressing emergencies: Readiness, Response, Recovery, with an added category of Reinvention.
City of Decatur Annual Report 2008 The City of Decatur has a long-term and ongoing commitment to Sustainability. Sustainability occurs when our efforts to support environmental, economic, organizational/institutional and community goals converge. This Annual Report highlights how the city supports sustainability efforts and fulfills the organization’s purpose and responsibility.
In the past, the Annual Report has focused on the various departments, their goals and key accomplishments. This year, based on input from focus groups of Decatur residents, we are using a different format and type of information. We are also including some of the results from the 2006 and 2008 Citizen Surveys. Let us know what you think!
