Volunteer Opportunities: Boards and Commissions

The Decatur City Commission is accepting statements of interest for the following volunteer Boards and Commissions:

  • Historic Preservation Commission
  • Planning Commission
  • Zoning Board of Appeals
  • Active Living Board
  • Better Together Advisory Board
  • Environmental Sustainability Board
  • Lifelong Community Advisory Board

These volunteer groups are appointed by the City Commission and staffed by City of Decatur employees. More information about responsibilities for each and access to the Statement of Interest form can be found at decaturga.com/bc.

The deadline to apply is September 30 at 5 p.m. You can return the form via email to City Manager Andrea Arnold, Andrea.Arnold@decaturga.com or mail it to her attention at City of Decatur, PO Box 220, Decatur GA 30031.
